Jeff Rabren is President and CEO of Red Level Strategies, an Alabama-based consulting firm specializing in government affairs, economic development, public affairs and communications. Jeff founded Red Level Strategies after over a decade leading state government affairs and economic development at a Regions Financial, one of the nation’s largest full-service financial services firms and a member of the Fortune 500. In that role, he developed and cultivated relationships with governors, attorneys general and state legislators across a fifteen-state footprint stretching across most of the mid-west and all southern states. His work at Regions involved managing consulting firms in several key southern states, developing coalitions with trade associations and other financial services firms, crafting and enacting legislation, amending existing laws and regulations, and creating an economic development department.
Jeff’s efforts in economic development included strategic partnerships with the Office of the Governor, Department of Commerce, other private businesses, local economic developers and non-profits. These partnerships focused on recruiting new business to Alabama, as well as developing and implementing strategies to retain and expand existing industries.
Prior to his time at Regions, Jeff led Governor Bob Riley’s legislative affairs team at the state capitol in Montgomery. In his six years in that role, he served as the governor’s liaison to the Alabama Legislature, working with legislators on both sides of the aisle to pass legislation, including incentives to recruit major industries and served as a senior advisor during development and implementation of the governor’s public policy agenda. Before his time in Montgomery, Jeff served for four years as a senior policy advisor for U.S. Representative Terry Everett in his Washington, D.C. office. During that time, he advised Congressman Everett on legislative and policy issues that included national defense, financial services , taxes, interstate commerce and international relations.
He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science in accounting and holds a juris doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law.
Since 2018, Rob Green has served multiple staff roles within Alabama House Leadership and Executive Agencies, while also working closely with legislative leaders during the 2018 and 2022 midterm election cycles.
Rob brings added attentiveness to the complexities and nuances of Alabama’s government, legislative, and political processes, offering detailed insights for key businesses, corporations, and stakeholders seeking strategic public affairs amidst a turbulent political and media environment.
Before joining Red Level Strategies, Rob was the Director of Legislative and External Affairs for the Alabama Department of Public Health, overseeing the department’s state and federal legislative and budgetary objectives. Additionally, Rob served as the Director of Communications and External Affairs for the Speaker of the House and as a Policy Director under Alabama’s previous Speaker.
Lastly, Rob’s extensive campaign experience focuses on caucus fundraising efforts, mediating and advising corporate, lobbying, and trade association strategic contribution and disbursement strategies. By weighing campaign polling, voter priorities, and a depth of knowledge of community nuances, Rob successfully advised legislative leadership on financing opportunities, in return, steering contributors to specific races.
Rob is a native of Jasper, Alabama, and graduated with a BA in Political Science, Government, and History from Birmingham-Southern College in 2018. Rob, and his wife Madeline, live in Montgomery with their beloved puppy, Dennis.
